EV:Hyperion Developers


Right now it's a one-man project. There are several reasons for that; here's one.

That doesn't mean it will always be a one-man project - in fact, I hope it won't. But I won't be looking for help until I have at least a partially finished universe, so people who want to contribute will have an idea of what they're committing themselves to.

What I'll probably be needing most is:

  1. An experienced 3D modeler, mostly for building the ship models and space-based structures (stations, farcasters & singularity spheres, etc...), and preferably using LightWave 7.5 or Blender because that's what I plan to learn myself. I used to use Infini-D 3.something, but it's time to move into the 21st century now...
  2. Someone who already has some experience in making plug-ins, more specifically in coding mission strings for the Nova engine, since my experience in these fields is mostly limited to the original EV and ResEdit.

But of course, any kind of contribution would be welcome. Questions, comments, suggestions etc. would best be put in the Add-on Development and Upcoming Plug-ins forum on ev-nova.net, I'll check this once in a while since this website will not be getting its own forum anytime soon.

Just don't ask to be a beta tester, it's a bit too early for that :) Be sure to check Ambrosia's EV forums (EVN & EV Dev) and ev-nova.net once in a while - if I need testers for anything, I'll announce it there.
